Executive Chef Jon Palsson is a master of two things: cooking and juggling responsibilities. Chef Palsson spearheads the culinary operations with ease, overseeing room service, banquets and all seven restaurants at the 620,000 plus square-foot resort and casino, managing over 150 food service staff. Chef Palsson brings nearly 20 years of culinary experience starting with humble beginnings as a culinary apprentice at the San Francisco Hilton and Towers to becoming an Executive Chef at Harrah’s Rincon in May 2010.
Chef Palsson considers his favorite time to cook is during the Spring because of all the fresh fruits and vegetables that are available.
Because of his years of experience, Chef Palsson has received numerous awards, including the DiRona Award for his work at the Grant Grill in 2001 and 2002, Executive Chef of the Year, Wyndham International 2000 and the Custom Culinary Excellence Award in 1997.
